Capri Pop up
The Situation: Eataly Los Angeles faced a challenge in reimagining their fish-centric restaurant, located uncomfortably close to another establishment, causing confusion in delineating spaces. The objective was to transform the area into a lively, Capri-inspired eatery while maintaining clear distinction from the adjacent restaurant.
The Creative Concept: To achieve this, vibrant colors (yellow and blue) and elements were introduced to seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor dining areas, evoking a fun and colorful atmosphere without resorting to a pop-up aesthetic. Key interventions included a "limonaia" ceiling covering, lemon trees on the patio, and walls painted with a fresh seaside blue reminiscent of Capri's Grotta Azzurra. Ceramic plate installations showcased Capri's rich history, adding authenticity to the restaurant's ambiance.
The Result: The outcome was a playful yet elegant environment with a distinct brand identity. Capri LA emerges as a successful addition to Eataly North America, capturing the essence of Capri while overcoming spatial challenges.
