Bar Milano
The Situation: Eataly NY Flatiron sought to reposition their fine-dining restaurant, Manzo, away from a meat-centric concept to attract a younger demographic. Inspired by Milan's resurgence as a design hub, the objective was to redesign the space with a contemporary Milanese aesthetic.
The Creative Concept: Collaborating closely with the Eataly design team, we aimed to create an exclusive ambiance within the grocery store setting. This was achieved by covering the industrial-style ceiling with soft, white and golden light textiles in funky shapes, and incorporating decor elements from Milanese artists of the 1950s. These additions transformed the restaurant into a private artist's home, evoking the essence of Milan's design history. The bar was rearranged with a minimalist touch, allowing the vibrant colors to take center stage.
The Result: The revamped Bar Milano quickly gained attention as a media darling and influencer hub, thanks to its vintage-chic aesthetic and exquisite Milanese dishes. The fusion of contemporary design elements with Milanese influences created a unique dining experience that resonated with patrons and solidified the restaurant's appeal among a younger demographic.
