Terra Silicon Valley

The Situation

Eataly's Terra Silicon Valley project, already featured on the website, required an expansion to address the challenges of their first-floor indoor wine bar. The original restaurant is located on the second floor, primarily outdoors, but the fluctuating San Jose weather made it difficult to seat enough patrons consistently. The indoor space needed a revamp to function better and complement the upstairs look while providing a special, peaceful environment within a busy grocery store.

The Creative Concept

Less Than 3 focused on transforming the indoor wine bar into a serene secret garden. We drew inspiration from the existing outdoor aesthetic, incorporating elements that evoke tranquility and sophistication. The design included lush greenery, subtle lighting, and elegant decor to create an inviting and peaceful indoor dining area. The goal was to offer a refreshing escape from the bustling grocery store atmosphere, making it an attractive spot for diners year-round.

The Result

The revamped indoor wine bar now serves as a tranquil secret garden, seamlessly blending with the upstairs restaurant's outdoor look while offering a more special and peaceful environment. Guests can enjoy their dinner in a cool, comfortable setting, regardless of the weather outside. This transformation has successfully addressed the previous challenges, making the indoor space a popular and functional extension of the Terra Silicon Valley experience.
