Trattoria Firenze Ristorante Toscano & Bar

The Situation:
Following the challenges of the pandemic, Eataly NY Downtown aimed to revamp its fine dining restaurant with a new name, concept, and menu. Transitioning from a Southern-Italian to a Tuscan-inspired eatery, the objective was to maintain a classic look while infusing a contemporary aura to attract a younger clientele and complement the adjoining show-stopping cocktail bar.

The Creative Concept: Given the fixed furniture and architectural elements, our focus was on transforming the ambiance through wall treatments and decor. Embracing a minimalist aesthetic enriched by traditional materials in modern shapes, we introduced vintage architectural photos of Florence in golden frames to blend old-world charm with contemporary allure. Sleek wood and copper accents, adorned with greenery, added depth and texture to the space. Utilizing wine bottles of varying sizes paid homage to Tuscan wine culture.

The Result: The redesigned restaurant exudes an inviting vibe, where patrons feel equally comfortable indulging in high-priced dishes like Florentine steak or enjoying cocktails and appetizers. The fusion of classic and modern elements creates an atmosphere that appeals to diverse tastes, attracting both loyal patrons and new clientele alike.
