2024: Il Pesce
The Situation
Il Pesce, a seafood restaurant in a busy market, needed to stand out and feel specia amidst the loud and busy environmentl. The ceiling, cluttered with technical components like unattractive AC ducts and mismatched lighting, needed a distraction. Challenges also included upgrading the previously plain decor to match a more sophisticated menu.
The Creative Concept
Less Than 3 tackled these challenges by creating a sculptural ceiling installation representing the waves of a peaceful yet energetic ocean, subtly hinting at the structure of a fish without being too literal. This installation, made from custom-shaped varnished wood and aircraft cables covered with custom-colored mesh tubing, drew eyes upward, away from the technical ceiling components. The decor was complemented by Mediterranean-inspired, design-oriented, and homey wall decor, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Blue walls further enhanced the calm environment, counterbalancing the surrounding market's chaos. The addition of VIETRI-sponsored plates added a touch of sophistication and elegance to the dining experience.
The Result
Il Pesce now offers a serene, sophisticated dining experience in the midst of the market's chaos, perfectly complementing its upgraded menu and resulting in higher guest satisfaction.
